Principals

Designstream was founded in 1999, by the principals, Linda Lohmus and Carol Syrnyk. Since graduating from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute with Bachelor of Applied Arts degrees in Interior Design, they have acquired over 35 years of combined hands-on experience designing commercial spaces. Their extensive knowledge and insight has enabled them to develop a unique and creative approach. Constant research and active participation in the design community keep Linda and Carol on the cutting edge of current design and office trends. This ensures that their clients have the information they need to make well-informed decisions.

Linda and Carol believe in providing highly personalized service by involving one of the partners in all aspects of every project regardless of size. This provides a seamless execution of the project from beginning to end, eliminating any errors or omissions.

Staff

The Designstream team consists of knowledgeable and talented staff that possess their own set of unique skills and accomplishments. This staff contributes to the overall success of each project by supporting the principals in all aspects of the design process.

Affiliations

The principals and design staff are members of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (A.R.I.D.O.) and Interior Designers of Canada (I.D.C.), meeting their standards for professionalism in education, ethics and liability insurance.

Carol Syrnyk is an active member of TCrew, a business development network representing a broad cross section of disciplines in commercial real estate.
