Transforming a factory into head office space
Boart Longyear, a global leader in the supply of products and services to the natural resources industry, hired Designstream to convert an existing manufacturing facility into executive offices. Because key decision makers were not in Toronto, clear, concise communication was vital to the project’s success. Designstream coordinated every aspect of the project.
Converting a factory into office space posed a number of challenges. Mechanical, electrical and lighting systems needed up-dating and the amount of natural light had to be increased. New energy efficient lighting and mechanicals were installed, and skylights and extensive interior glazing were used to maximize natural light.
The result is an unbelievable transformation of space.
